Etsako, Edo – His Royal Highness, Alhaji Kelvin Danesi has disclosed that his removal as the Aidonogie of South Ibie Kingdom was politically motivated.

The traditional head made the disclosure to Newsmen at his palace in South-Ibie kingdom  in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State  on Wednesday.

According to him, "My Purported removal as the Aidonogie of South Ibie is politically motivated.  There was a time some persons file a petition against me that I am not supporting the government which came as a surprise to me. There was no reason giving or the area am not supporting government.

"Few days ago it was on Edo Broadcasting Service, EBS and social media I saw that  one  Inusa Umoru Inusa was purportedly appointed  by the State Government  as the Aidonogie of South Ibie, when I am still alive.  It came as an embarrassment to me. I view the government action  as  ‘Executive Recklessness.’

"There is a restraining order, an ex-parte issued at the High Court, Benin City suit No.B/62os/2024  by Hon .Justice V. O. Eboreime  restraining  the State Government, the Commission, Ministry of Local Government, Community and Chieftaincy Affairs, the Attorney general,  Umoru Inusa Umoru, not to carry out such an act  pending  the  hearing of the motion on notice.

"They went ahead and violated the law. The law is Supreme, inshallah it will take its due Course “. The  Traditional ruler  who is also a lawyer Affirmed."

He urged the people of South-Ibie kingdom to remain peaceful that he is still on the throne as de facto de jure Aidonogie of South Ibie kingdom.
