Benin, Edo – The Salvation Army Benin Rehabilitation Centre recently honored Ann Ojugo, Chairperson of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Edo State Chapter, with the prestigious Golden Impact Award.

The accolade recognizes her exceptional service, humanitarian dedication, and inspirational leadership, reflecting the values of Faith, Integrity, Compassion, and Transformation.

The ceremony, held at the Salvation Army’s facility in Benin City, brought together community leaders, advocates, and supporters to celebrate Ojugo’s tireless work in championing the rights and empowerment of persons with disabilities across Nigeria.

As a prominent figure in JONAPWD, Ojugo has been instrumental in driving initiatives that promote inclusion, accessibility, and dignity for marginalized communities in Edo State and beyond.

In her acceptance speech, Ojugo expressed profound gratitude to the Salvation Army Benin Rehabilitation Centre for the honor.

“This recognition is a great privilege and a call to do more,” she said in a Facebook post

She dedicated the award to God Almighty, persons with disabilities in Nigeria, and her cherished family and friends, whom she credited as her unwavering support system.
